Home Decor Inspiration with the Old English Company

Cute stationery and homeware is something that I could spend hundreds on but alas, I try to limit my spending because yknow, student budget and all that. So, when the Old English Company gifted me a £50 voucher for their website, I jumped at this opportunity. I mean, who would say no to that?!

I spent hours browsing their website and it's safe to say, I could buy it all. From motivational prints to the cutest mugs, I think that there's something for everyone on this website! So, I thought I'd show you what I chose...

First, the items came packaged really well and everything was in perfect condition so of course, that was a positive straight away! The delivery time was also very fast and so, I have no complaints at all about the delivery and the packaging!

The first thing that I saw when I opened the package was this lovely chopping board*, patterned with names of various types of bread. I don't know if this is going to sound like the most boring thing I've ever written but I do really like this type of chopping board, it's one of those things that just looks nice. I hope to expand my blog photography with a few more props over the next couple of months so I think it is safe to say that this chopping board will be featured in there somewhere.

Another piece of homeware that I couldn't resist was this tea towel* which is in a really nice charcoal grey colour with illustrated names of biscuits. It feels like amazing quality and wow, is this adulting when you are buzzing about a tea towel? Josh actually chose this one and I'm looking forward to using it (I will be waiting until I move out of my student halls for reasons that you'll read all about in my post about the truth of student halls coming in the next few weeks).

My favourite item is definitely this mug*; another mug that I have and will never use because I just don't really like hot drinks but it's cute so it's acceptable, right? I also love a subtly (or extremely) motivational quote and I just feel like this is the type of mug that you need in your life. These enamel mugs just look a little bit more aesthetically pleasing than a normal mug, in my opinion.

For someone who lives by themselves, I own way too many coasters, so of course the sensible thing to do is to buy 4 more. These are not a set but I feel as though they work really well together. My favourite of the 4 is the 'Prove them wrong' one* which is going to definitely go on my desk because if you know me, you know that one of the things I'm most passionate about is proving people wrong and doing things people never thought you'd be able to do. Overall, the coasters* are wonderful quality and so well priced too!

The final couple of items are these  A5 notebooks because you know, you can never have too many notebooks! I've already started using the 'Notes'* one for some exciting blog content for the Summer and I plan on using the 'You've Got This'* one for personal goals and plans because like I said, I do enjoy a motivational quote. Then, I'm going to use the 'Important Things'* notebook for all of the random information/passwords that I need but I always forget. All three are really good quality and I'm looking forward to filling them up with miscellaneous ramblings.

I hadn't heard of the Old English Company before they contacted me but my overall experience with them was a success! From the first couple of emails to the quality of the products I have received, this is definitely a company that I will be buying from again and recommending to all other stationery and homeware lovers!

Have you seen any items here that you like the look of? Will you be shopping with The Old English Company? Let me know!
