I recently turned 20 and I received some lovely gifts so I'm going to be sharing what I got for my birthday. I hate how I have to do these disclaimers but obviously I'm not bragging and I appreciate everything that I was given etc etc etc. I'm not going to explicitly state who bought me every present as I will be here for an age but thank you to everyone who bought me a present or said happy birthday or came to celebrate with me on my birthday! Also, I won't be going into detail about all of the presents because well, the photos make it obvious and let's be real, nobody has time for me explaining things that are right there anyway. So, let's talk about my gifts...

Presents from me to me

I'm all about treating myself and this birthday was no exception. What started as a little present to myself ended up with a gift bag of exciting goodies but I'm not complaining. I actually bought a gift bag to put the presents in and then opened it on the morning of my birthday while my family rolled their eyes at how extra I am. The Too Faced Chocolate Gold palette is definitely my favourite out of these as I've never actually tried any of the Too Faced products before and the colours are absolutely amazing. I also got my hands on the Pixi Glow Tonic which I'm now using every day and I can see why there's such a massive hype around it.

Presents from Josh

Josh definitely spoilt me with my new Fitbit Versa, which I absolutely love and I've been using it every day since my birthday and he also bought me some amazing other bits including one of the new Huda Beauty palettes. The pigmentation of this palette is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to use it in future make up looks.

Presents from family and friends

I'm a big fan of lounge wear and basically, anything soft and comfortable to wear as soon as I get into the house. My parents bought me a couple pairs of pyjamas, slippers and socks, as well as a dressing gown that you'll see further down in the post but this just says a lot about my personality.

My parents also bought me a new scarf, hair curlers, a hip flask and a Costa gift card - all very me, I must say. I can confirm that the £20 on the gift card was used within 4 days, oops. I have a problem.

The Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm is something that has been on my wish list for so long and I'm so excited to finally have it in my collection - although my mum definitely begrudged buying it because she says I have way too much make up (is there such a thing?). One of the things I was so happy about was this Violet Voss Holy Grail palette from Josh's parents as I've been wanting to try Violet Voss for the longes time. I've used this palette already and it's already one of my favourites.

My best friend, Shannon picked me up a couple of my favourite things like a Yankee Candle and Snow Fairy, as well as this frame with a photo of the two of us in. Again, all very me presents - it shows how well my friends and family know me.

This backpack is another present from me to me (oops), which I forgot to include before. It was around £30 from Accesorize and I absolutely love it because well, mini backpacks are just my thing. My sister also bought me this mug from Cath Kidston which is half cute, half terrifying but we all know that I'm a little bit obsessed with CK.

More candles to add to my evergrowing collection. These are some of the presents from my extended family and well, I think everyone knows that I just really like candles.

Other presents from my extended family include a whole lot of notebooks; let's just say I don't think I'll have to buy another notebook for about a year. I'm always writing things down, planning and making never ending to do lists so this will be incredibly useful. Some of my extended family gave me money and I used this for more clothes (what a surprise), which I'm sure I will show soon as I'm planning to do some Autumn fashion content!

My friends that I live with at University also bought me a variety of stationery things and the cutest cactus plant which all fit so well with my general aesthetic; especially the pink fluffy notebook. They also bought me a birthday cake which was definitely unexpected but such a lovely touch.

This is the dressing gown from my parents which is potentially the softest thing ever and I'll definitely be getting a lot of use out of this as we move into the colder months. Also, it's pink which makes it ten times better. My parents also bought me a coat which was absolutely impossible to show in these photos but it's a lovely pale pink trench coat, which I'll be sure to feature on my Instagram soon.

Safe to say I won't need to buy any snacks for about a year...

Thank you to everyone that celebrated with me and made my 20th so special!

What is your favourite birthday memory?
