Don't mind me, just slightly in shock that we are in 2019 already. Anyway, I'm usually terrible at sticking to my yearly goals but last year, I shared my goals here and then posted updates on them throughout the year and this definitely encouraged me to keep going with them. So, let's talk about my 2019 goals...

Keep up to date with University work

I'm now in my second year at University and honestly, I really struggled in the first term. When this post goes up, it will be about a week before my January exams start and I just don't feel prepared at all. Therefore, one of my biggest goals this year is to try and keep as up to date as I can with my University work and find some sort of method that works for me when it comes to revision. I don't understand how I've been doing exams yearly for around 6 years now and I still don't really know how I revise effectively but I just need to sort my life out when it comes to my University life.

Start a Youtube channel

Ok so, if you've known me for a while, you'll know that I've started and stopped Youtube so many times over the last 7 years or so and I just want to do it properly now. I have so many ideas for content but sometimes, I just think they would look better as a video and so, I just need to bite the bullet and start a channel. If you are subscribed to me on Youtube, you'll know I've posted some travel videos over the past year but there's so much more that I want to do and I'm determined to do that in the next year.

Sort out my skincare routine

Basically, I buy a lot of skincare. I'm not going to deny that. However, I still haven't fully perfected my skincare routine and I just want to sort it out in the next year. Also, I am the worst at sometimes not doing my night time skincare routine when I'm tired or stressed and I need to stop doing that. My skin definitely isn't as bad as it used to be but there are definitely some issues with it that I want to sort out within the next few months.

Continue to expand my experience in digital marketing

So, I've worked in digital marketing alongside my degree now for around a year. At this point, I'm working at two different companies as a content writer and a digital marketing assistant and I'm absolutely loving it. In 2019, I hope to continue gaining experience in this area as this is the career path I plan on going down when I have finished my degree.

Don't live off of pasta for 5 days of the week

That might be a slight exaggeration but seriously, I need to expand my diet a little bit. As someone who has severe sensory issues, I'm quite limited in what I can eat and it often makes me avoid trying any sort of new food. However, that leads to me eating the same three meals in rotation every week so I guess I just need to step out of my comfort zone and eat something that isn't pasta.

Reach 300,000 page views

So, I'm ending 2018 with around 125,000 page views which I'm so overwhelmed by considering my original end of year goal was 100k and I never even thought that I would reach that. I feel as though I'm being quite ambitious in aiming for 300k by the end of 2019 but hey, I'm an ambitious person. Also, I'm fully aware it's not all about the numbers but I am just proud of how far I've come considering 3 years ago, I never even thought I would surpass 1000 page views.

Read more books

I have so many books on my 'to be read' list and this year, I just didn't read as much as I hoped. I've set myself a challenge of reading 50 books during 2019 and I'm not sure how feasible that will be but I'm going to try my best anyway. My parents bought me a kindle for Christmas so that will definitely help me to reach this goal.

Start saving for our wedding

This year, Josh and I will be moving into our own house and so, pretty much all of our money will be spent on that. However, once we have bought the bulk of the things we need and sorted out our finances properly, I want to start saving for the wedding properly. I always have really good intentions when it comes to saving but honestly, I'm just not very good at the actual saving part. Let's hope that planning the most extra day ever will motivate me to save.

What are your 2019 goals? Happy New Year!
